“Thank you for a great opportunity for the entire family. You teach while having fun and keep everyone safe. This is a once in a lifetime experience we are blessed to have been part of.”

— Youth Beginner parent, July 2025

Our certified instructors create a supportive, hands-on environment where students learn the fundamentals of sailing, safety, and seamanship while building confidence and connection on the water.

Group classes run from late June through July, with private and small-group sessions available throughout the summer. Whether you’re completely new to sailing or looking to grow your skills, we’ll help you discover what makes sailing so rewarding.

“Our family loves it and continues to figure out how to make it more a part of our lives.”

— Youth Beginner parent, July 2025

Roc City Sailing operates out of the Rochester Canoe Club and is powered by volunteers, community partners, and donors who share our mission of expanding access to the water, and to the joy of sailing, for all.

“Experiencing the ‘quiet’ and feeling the wind and hearing the water splashing against the hull.”

— Adult Beginner participant, June 2024
